Chapter 3: The Study

Introduction:

This is not a game anymore... this is something different.

You've somehow foiled Edward Tandy and escaped The Basement in Chapter 1. You've managed to make it out once again after Edward and his assistant placed your sleeping body in The Boiler Room in Chapter 2. In Chapter 3, things have changed and you're treading on turf that Edward never expected you to gain access to. You've made it into his Study.

In The Study, you and your team have made your way into the upper quarter's of the Tandy family home. He Is VERY unhappy that you have encroached on his personal space and he plans to make you pay dearly for this mistake. In Chapter 3, you will find out more than you ever hoped about our matriarch obsessed serial killer. With event and theatrical puzzles, your level of interaction will need to take a step up in order to see the light of day ever again.

Summary

  • Recommend 4-6 escape artists
  • Not for beginners
  • 45 minute escape room
  • Live actor!
  • "Any volunteers?"

This was my first horror/live actor combination escape room and it was quite the experience. Our group consisted of 6 escape artists, including 2 new additions to the escape room world and Team GTFO. I'd recommend a max of 6 people for this room, as there is not a lot of space to work in.

DISCLAIMER, the live actor is allowed to touch you!! At least one member of your group will have to interact with the live actor as well. Our live actor was very helpful in delivering the hints we needed and had great acting skills. Well done!

Members of your group may be separated at times. Thankfully we had a few brave souls in our group who are willing to do certain tasks, otherwise, I'm not sure how we would have escaped. However, once you get past the scary aspect, the puzzles are not that difficult to solve. Search for clues with a keen eye, you never know what you'll find or where you'll find it!
